Charles H. Wells, Sr. Celebrates 100th Birthday

Worshipful Brother Charles (Charlie) Wells, Sr. celebrated his 100th birthday on Saturday, February 23, 2007 at the Manor-Mt Mansfield House in Morrisville, VT.  Brother Charlie, a 79-year Mason, thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon party with his many relatives and several brother Masons, carrying on in conversation and cracking jokes.

MWPGM Cedric Smith presented Brother Charlie with a Centarian certificate signed by MWGM John R. Campbell, Jr..  While presenting the certificate, Brother Cedric highlighted some key dates in Charlie’s Masonic career:  Raised on October 25, 1928 by his grandfather, Worshipful Master of Warner Lodge in 1938-39, received his 50 year button in 1978 before the Grand Lodge had a computer, and received his 75-year button in 2003.  Bro. Charlie made it clear to everyone present that he is looking forward to receiving his 80-year button in 2008.  So are we!
