Veterans Appreciation Ceremony, September 9, 2007

On September 9th a combined group of Grand Officers of the Grand lodge and the Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star conducted a Veteran's Appreciation Ceremony at the Vermont Veterans National Cemetery in Randolph Center. Almost 50 Officers and friends were on hand to support our veterans.

Messages were given by Roland (Bud) Godin, Worthy Grand Patron, Karen Price, Worthy Grand Matron and Cal Keyler, Grand Master. After a moment of silence for all veterans, the ceremony moved to the nearby grave of Most Worshipful Past Grand Master, Edward J.Wildblood where a floral tribute was placed on the grave in memory of all who have served by Elma Wildblood, Ed's widow.

Following the ceremony, an informal BBQ was held at Sharon Lodge, No. 105, in Sharon. Escorting Elma Wildblood was MWPGM, John R. Campbell, Ed's appointment as Grand Lecturer.
