RE: RENOVATION OF MASONIC HALL
MY BROTHERS,
It is with profound pleasure that I inform you that as of the above date, our beloved Hall has been renovated. My goal of completing this task before the 50th anniversary of the Irasburg Church Fair has been met as the Fair is on July 20th this year.

When the prison work crew from the Caledonia Corrections Work Camp arrived on June 6, we started by scraping the entire building. Then we covered the building with 15 gallons of Glidden PC 4000 oil based primer, and then covered it with two coats of Glidden 2900 Satin Latex Exterior finish, using a total of 21 gallons. of finish paint.
All of the cement around the base of the building was given at least two coats of Glidden 3806 Harbour Grey Floor Enamel, and the black trim around the roof and the windows was done with one gallon of Glidden Gloss Black Oil Enamel. The ramp was done with a special Glidden 2228 oil/latex exterior stain, and the door was painted with a 263160 Glidden Blue Exterior Latex (3 coats).
Our new combination storm windows have been caulked and installed, after the regular windows were repaired, re-puttied, and painted.
I also had the crew remove all of the firewood from the cellar, repair the toilet in the bathroom, and seal up the holes in the kttchen. We also installed two new outside lights, and patched the foundation walls, as needed. -if it needed doing, it was done.
As per Brother Roy's request, we also repaired and painted the bandstand on the Common, along with the Welcome Sign and the flagpole. It is safe to say that Irasburg never looked so good!!
PROJECT TOTAL $2,488.13
It was an honor to serve as the clerk of the works for thim project. Thank you all for your support and help.
